As a dog returns to his vomit, so a fool returns to his folly. (Proverbs 26:11)
Why do you keep repeating the same mistake? This is what the verse above is saying. It’s referred to as returning to your vomit. You’ve made that same mistake before, and here you are doing it again.
If you keep doing the same sin, you will always get the same result.
Repentance means, to turn around, turn away and go in the opposite direction.
But it is happened unto them, according to the true proverb, the dog has turned again to his own vomit, and the sow that was washed returned to her wallowing in the mire. (1 Peter2:22).
