Precept Must Be Upon Precept.

You cannot add precepts where there are no precepts. The word of God is always a sure foundation.

Other foundation can no man lay than that which is laid in Christ Jesus. (1 Corinthians 3:11).

We are built upon the foundations of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone. (Ephesians 2:20).

Precept must be upon precept –In other words, to be a Christian, one must first accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, by confessing all sins then inviting Jesus into your heart and life. Next, be baptized in water, then you discipline yourself to read your Bible and Pray every day.
